The White House said today that President Obama will travel to Copenhagen for the U.N. climate change talks. Obama will be in attendance on Dec. 9, two days into the conference, while on his way to accept the Nobel Peace Prize in Sweden.
An administration official also confirmed that the United States will commit to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions "in the range of 17 percent" below 2005 levels by 2020, the target outlined in the House-passed Waxman-Markey bill.
